On the recommendation of the Professional Standards and Technical Advisory Committee, the Council of the Institute in its 162nd meeting held on January 23-24, 2004, has approved certain amendments in the existing Section 7 of the Institute's Code of Ethics for Chartered Accountants whose heading has been changed to read as " Public Notices, Announcements and Communications ".

Revised Section 7 (containing page 21 - 26B) is enclosed, which the members are requested to file in the Members' Handbook Volume-I, Part-4, Section 6, Directive 6.04.
