How to become a member?

Those who have completed the prescribed training and have passed all the prescribed examinations of
the Institute will be eligible for Associate Membership of the Institute.
Please ensure the following is taken care of:

The application should be in prescribed Form “A”

  • Please insert full names as entered in ICAP records as a trainee student/examinee
  • If training received in more than two firms particulars may be mentioned
    in the blank space of last page
  • Enclose period completion certificate issued by the Principal.
  • Photocopies of CA passing certificates; (Foundation, Intermediate & Final)
  • Result card of passing final examinations.
  • Photocopies Matriculation, Intermediate and Bachelors certificates/Degree;
  • Two latest photograph of 1 x 1;
  • Photocopy of CNIC;
  • Prescribed Fee Schedule

Note:  Application form should be completed in all respect and duly signed by the applicant.

Those who qualified from other recognized Accounting Bodies:

A person who is a member from Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia,
Canada, England & Wales, Ireland, Scotland may apply for membership.

These members will have to pass the papers of Advanced Taxation and Corporate
Laws of Professional examination if they intend to engage in public practice.
Please ensure the following:

  1. The application should be in prescribed Original Form ‘A’.
  2. Exemption Form
  3. Bank Draft/Pay Order for Rs. 82,000 /-
  4. Following documents in original with a photocopy thereof:

(original not required if photocopies attested by a member of ICAP bearing
his name and membership number)

  • Exemption Certificate from ICAP Directorate of Examinations from papers
    other than Advanced Taxation and Corporate Laws
  • SSC / Matric Certificate OR NIC OR relevant page of passort (for age proof)
  • Graduation degree or other academic/professional qualifications
  • Photocopies of CA passing certificates; (Foundation, Intermediate & Final)
  • Training ContractTraining Service Completion Certificate
  • Certificate of passing all the examinations
  • Membership Certificate (if obtained)

Eligibility For Fellowship:

  • Practice as an Associate for five years; or
  • Non-Practicing Associate for 10 years.
  1. Payment of admission fee of Rs.2550; and
  2. Payment of annual fee of fellow or additional fee necessary to increase his fees applicable to a fellow member.
