How to become an RAET
The primary requirement for registration as Registered Accounting Education Tutor (RAET) of ICAP is that the main sponsor for RAET should be a Chartered Accountant. Furthermore, another essential requirement is that subjects of Accounting, Auditing and Taxation are required to be taught by Chartered Accountants or qualified accountants from other accounting bodies.
If the aforesaid requirements are met, the following details about the proposed RAET may be forwarded to the Directorate of Education & Training with the payment of Rs.1,000/-.
a. Name, phone number and e-mail address of the proposed RAET
b. Following information if already functioning as an educational entity:
(i) Date of establishment
(ii) Courses presently being offered and number of students
(iii) Affiliations with any University / Institute / Colleges
c. Organizational setup of proposed RAET
- Layout plan of the proposed RAET
- Copy of Rental agreement of the premises alongwith NOC from the owner for use of property for commercial purpose in case the property is of Residential nature
- Copy of Title deed in Owner’s name and copy of NOC from Civic bodies for use of property for commercial purposes
- Name and address of Partners and their share alongwith copy of registered Partnership deed
- Resume of Main Sponsor and Principal with details of experience especially in educational field
- Feasibility report of the proposed RAET including 3 years projected cash flow and future viability of the Project
- Standard Operating Procedures for the RAET. This can be submitted within three months from date of approval as RAET
Upon receipt of the above information/documents and review thereof, a set of Application Forms, Standards for RAETs and other documents would be sent to the proposed RAET.
