Followed by the panel discussion, Adnan Afaq gave a presentation on ‘Digital Financial Reporting.’ Right after the lunch break, a ‘Debrief video of IASB’ was showcased, followed by a few more presentations made by Hena Sadiq, partner Deloitte Yousuf Adil on ‘Identifying Your Leases – Understanding the lease definition and exemptions,’ Sohail Malik, director Technical Services ICAP on ‘Transitioning to IFRS 16 – Options, Decisions and what should you be doing,’ and Zulfikar Ali Causer, partner BDO Ebrahim & Co. on ‘Preparing Your IFRS 16 Disclosure.’ A second panel discussion took place in which Hena Sadiq, Sohail Malik and Zulfikar Ali Causer were the panellists. The session was moderated by Imran Mustafa, subject matter specialist of ICAP. The presenters were Mohammad Zulfikar Akhtar, partner Representing International Accounting Standards A. F. Ferguson & Co. on ‘Classification and Valuation of Board (IASB), Chungwoo Suh, board member Your Financial Assets,’ Arslan Khalid, partner EY Ford IASB shared relevant updates through a live video Rhodes on ‘From Incurred to Expected – Impairment conferencing. Followed by the address, representatives of Financial Asset including Circular Debt,’ Amyn Malik, of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) partner KPMG Taseer Hadi & Co. on ‘Preparing Your IFRS London office joined through a video conference and 9 Disclosure’ and Syed Muhammad Fraz Zaidi, head of answered numerous queries of the participants. Seminar on Anti-Money Laundering/Countering Financing of Terrorism for NPOs and Intermediaries, Islamabad T he Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Committee Islamabad/Rawalpindi arranged a seminar on Anti-Money Laundering/Countering Financing of Terrorism for NPOs and Intermediaries on April 3, 2019 at ICAP, Islamabad. The objective of the seminar was to update the members on regulatory measures for mitigation of Money Laundering/Terrorism Financing (ML/TF) risks in Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs) and registered intermediaries in the light of Financial Action Task Force (FATF) recommendations.
