Assessment of Fundamental Competencies (AFC) examinations would be conducted in a computer based environment.
AFC-3 and AFC-4 would be entirely computer based in which only objective type questions would be examined. In case of AFC-1 and AFC-2, objective type questions would be tested on computer whereas essay type (descriptive) questions would be examined separately and will be held along with CAF examinations. However, with effect from Autumn 2015, all papers of AFC would be entirely computer based.
In order to facilitate the students in the AFC examinations, ICAP has developed a video to illustrate the salient features of the computer-based examination environment.

We are pleased to inform you that the proposal submitted by RPGCC to ICAP for this exclusive membership package has been translated into another MOU and signed by both the Parties on 04 September 2014. Some of the key features of this Corporate Membership Package for ICAP Members are as follows:

Each member of ICAP will pay a total membership fee of Rs. 500,000 (Rupees Five hundred thousand) plus 10% tax upfront along with the membership application.
2) INSTALLMENTS OPTION
MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTIONMonthly fixed fee is currently Rs. 4,500 for the couple and Rs 600 and Rs 2,000 for each child aged 5-18 years and 18-21 years respectively subject to change from time to time and as applicable on other members of RPGCC according to the prevailing rules and regulations. 10% Tax will also be applicable.
|3)||Entitlement of Facilities:||All available facilities of the Club for Member + Spouse + all children under the age of 21 (first family members) as per prevailing rules.|
|4)||Duration:||Life time.Membership will be transferable to one of first family members any time during or after the life time of the Member by paying the prevailing transfer fee as prescribed by RPGCC.|
|5)||Admission and Approval Criteria:||As per the applicable rules, regulations and discretion of RPGCC as well as the confirmation of membership from ICAP, RPGCC reserves the right to refuse membership to any of the applicant in accordance with its prevailing rules and regulations.|
|6)||Relationship/ Liability:||After admission, the entire membership relationship and liability would be strictly between the Club Member and RPGCC without any involvement of ICAP. Also ICAP shall not be financially or otherwise liable for the conduct and actions of its members who would avail this plan|
|7)||Validity of offer:||Members of ICAP who would submit their complete application along with the respective upfront fee before 17 October 2014, subject to First Come First Serve basis. RPGCC will proceed with this special package only if it receives minimum 20 applications before the expiry of this offer.|
|8)||Total No. of Seats:||Maximum 40 memberships on First Come First Serve basis subject to meeting the prescribed admission criteria of RPGCC within the time period of validity of the offer, i.e. before 17 October 2014. RPGCC will maintain the track record of the applications being submitted so as to ensure that the applications are strictly processed in accordance with the First Come First Serve basis.|

The Institute of Chartered Accountant of Pakistan (ICAP) organized CA PAKISTAN SEMINAR AND JOB FAIR 2014 at ICAP Houses (Karachi and Lahore) on August 30, 2014. The initiative has been taken to set up a unique networking opportunity that puts different employers, qualified CAs and trainee students under one roof and provided them an opportunity to listen to the Industry experts and clutch advice for entering into the corporate world.
The seminar facilitated them to stay up to date on the latest changes in the modern corporate world and maintain a dialogue with industry professionals. They seminar emphasized the key aspects of today’s workplace change and underline the essentials that with the increased competition, how recently qualified CAs will need to plan well and take extra care to secure their position in corporate arena. The seminar was a comprehensive guide for them and the speakers provided them the capacity to learn incisively. At the end of the seminar Young CAs inquired about the working milieu of Corporate World and pursued meaningful questions.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) inaugurated its satellite office in Gujranwala on Wednesday August 20, 2014. The President ICAP Naeem Akhtar Sheikh inaugurated the newly developed office of CA Pakistan. The Institute decided to exploit this area of opportunity solely for the privilege of our valued members, students and the profession of Chartered Accountancy adding to the existing network of 7000 members and 20,000 registered students.
