MOU between ICAP & SOCPA
Institute of Chartered Accountant of Pakistan (ICAP) and the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on February 27, 2020.
SOCPA is a professional body pioneering and overseeing the accounting and auditing profession in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). The MoU is aimed to:
- Exchange information and collaborate towards the improvement of accounting profession in line with vision 2030 and global outlook.
- Invite each other’s senior management and Members to their mega events as speakers and/or participants.
- Increase engagement with respect to education, training workshops, examinations, CPD, quality assurance & practice, forensic accounting, corporate governance, technical research & advice, Islamic finance, issues for SMPs, and other special projects of mutual interest, for students, affiliates, and members.
- Support in providing necessary approval/Emara letter etc. for CPD events for ICAP Members in KSA.
- Provide own premises for activities envisaged in this MoU, at mutually agreed cost.
- Support and facilitate ICAP in conducting examinations for its students.
- Facilitate visit visas for ICAP examinations team.
- Identify opportunities for further collaboration of professional excellence.
